wine bottle corkBeing an avid outdoorsman I am constantly trying to find ways to reuse as many everyday items. Something I have found to work quite well is using wine bottle corks as bobbers. Typically, I take the wine bottle cork and cut it in half. my next move is to spray paint the cork whatever color I desire. Sometimes I don’t even bother to paint them, but the kids always like bright colors. Next I take my cordless drill with a 3/32 drill bit and drill the hole centered in the cork from top to bottom. At this point you have a slip bobber and can be used as such. However, I typically take a toothpick and use it as a bobber stop. This system helps the environment and saves money at the same time.
