30 hp johnson

Just wanted too say nice site glad you started it up i love the calender with all the tournaments on it and here is my ? I need too turn the idle up on my 30 hp johnson thanks for any help.

thanks for the compliment on the site. We will be adding more events to it. when someone post a tournament on that part of the message board we will add it to the calendar.

Now for your question. take the cover off of the motor. Work your Throtle handle and follow the cable to the carborator. Their should be a screw were the cable connect to the plate. turn your throtle all the way down and tighten the screw. Don't go crazy, but that should help you adjust it. if you are still having trouble you can always call richy in franklin pa and he will be able to help you through it.

Okay here is the problem i was out yesterday and it did it not soo much my idle but when i put it in gear it stalls unless i hurry up and give it allot of gas like at low rpms it stalls . If you guys know somebody that would help me with it i would pay them too help me get it running right Thanks

I have a couple questions for you and it probably isn't this simple, but I overlook these things sometimes. 1.) Are you still running your old gas? 2.) Did you pull the plugs and check them? If the plugs are filled they motor will run ok but not great at full speed, but will idle really bad and stall. The only other thing that i can think of is that you might need to clean the carborator. If you take the plastic bowl off you should get an idea if that is the case. I have been fortunante to never really need a repair to my motor that i took it somewhere. If I were to take it somewhere it would probably be Richy in Franklin, PA.

New gas but didnt check the plugs i will do that here in a bit before i go too work. I will get back too you.
