I have been bass fishing for years, but have rarely used poppers for bass. Mainly because I am not good with fishing top water slowly. I have become a lot more patient now, and found decent success this past fishing season with them. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on what brands are better, and if there are any tuning tricks anyone knows. Any info would be great.

My favorite poppers are the Don Iovino Splash Its along with the Xaclibur Zell Pops. I used to fish them all the time and kind of got away with it. Just like fishing a jerkbait, your cadence is the key. Sometimes they want it twitched and almost deadsticked, and other times they want it fast. Smallies seem to like it worked faster.
