My favorite place to fish for trout is a tie. There is small lake by my camp called Chapmen Lake that has a small stream called west branch. My other favorite is Salmon Creek in Tionesta.

North Park or Pine Creek  Just joking there no way I will go out on the first day, too many Yahoos for me.

I'll head out later in the week after the one day anglers have had there fill. That's one of the down falls of living in the north hills

My favorite place is Sugar Creek. It runs through a place called Cooperstown which is N-NW of Franklin. I don't normally start fishing until about 2 weeks after season opens since I can only go on weekends.

My favorite place to go first day is Neshannock Creek in New Castle at a place called "The cinders"... It will be crowded but still fun... What bait does everyone like to use initially. I tend to go with a spinner for first hour or so then switch to spinning minnows...

Personally, I like to use a niti in a silver model in the 1 1/2 or 2 inch size. If you have never heard of it google it. It is a great lure that works for a bunch of species and is responsible for some of the biggest trout that i have ever caught. If those don't work then I tend to go to multiple colors and blade combo's of joe fly's.
