KBBC - Pymatuning 1

Congratulations to Jim Lunsford and Rick Lewis who weighed in 6 bass that weighed 17.29 pounds! Even though a couple teams were in the 17 pound range the field overall had a tough time getting quality fish to bite. There were a lot of 13 and 14 inch fish brought to the scale which is unusual for Pymatuning Lake. Click here for the entire results. http://www.kbass.com/tournaments/Top50/top50page.htm

Me and my buddies camped out of Jamestown May 1 to May 3rd and had one heck of a time finding active fish that weren't dinks. We managed one 3.5lb bass and a few in the 12-14" range. No smallies either which was weird for Pymatuning. We fished everywhere. What was the winning patern?

Same thing happened at Wilhelm the weekend before. This spring has been tough for fishing and finding quality fish.

I saw a pickup with a fishpittsburgh decal on the back as I drove home and decided to register to see if anyone had any stories from the tourneys to tell.

Lets hear it.

Hunt.

I personally found the same thing that you did. I caught a ton of 13-14 inch bass, but I had trouble getting anything bigger to bite. The day before it didn't matter what i threw or where I threw it, it just seemed like I caught good fish. The big difference was that there was overcast on friday. Here's hoping this weekend goes a little better.
