It is getting close to the time that we should start thinking about state team. Here is some information about state team:
-The tournament will be held on June 18th and 19th at Lake Raystown. We will be launching out of James Creek.
-When sending in for state team, please send together as a club. You can send as many people as you want this year but it must be an equal number of boaters and riders. If you have more than six individuals going, just fill out multiple state team applications. The cost will be $100 per applicant. All applications must be in my mailbox no later than Monday, June 7th. Any application sent after this time will be denied and sent back.
-We are only going to count your club’s top four weights after two days of fishing to determine the winners.
-State team is still going to be a qualifier for the state classic. We will be taking 20 individuals (10 boaters, 10 riders) from this tournament to the classic. The only change is that you must fish two other events throughout the year if you qualify from state team.
- The top three clubs will all be paid the same amount. It will be up to your club to determine how you are going to distribute the money. The payout is going to be $2500 for the top three clubs if we get 100 participants.
-If we get more than 100 participants for state team, we will be adding more places. The goal is to pay 15% of the field for each state tournament.
-We will be giving away a Motor Guide Trolling Motor (Retails for $900) to one of the participants during the Thursday meeting.
Lets make this the best state team by having high club participation. This is your club’s opportunity to have bragging rights and show the state that you are one of the best clubs in the state. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to call me at 724-875-1738.
