Fishing for Carp is easy and is very enjoyable. Carp are one of the most over looked game, but shouldn’t be. They are an extremely hard fighting fish as well as one of the easiest fish to fish for on a nice summer day. Carp can just as easily be fished for from shore as they can a boat. All you need is a rod and reel, some strong line, a slip rig, some bread or pre-made carp bait (sold at any tackle shop), and some time to kill. The video below show you a few different rigs that you can use to try your luck at carp fishing. Have fun and hold on.
Thanks for the rig video. I am learning about carp and it was very useful.
It’s great to see that you guys are into carp fishing now. When I was last in Florida (from the UK) everyone just seemed to be focused on the Bass which don’t get me wrong is a superb species to fish for but don’t neglect others.
Thanks for stopping by Andy. I’m into fishing for just about anything. I do a lot of bass fishing but I will never turn down the chance to go fishing for anything.
Nice site, and informative video. Kudos
Whats the fishing like in Pittsburgh? I hear its pretty cold there most of the year.
Thanks for the compliment. Fishing in Pittsburgh can be really good. We usually only get 8 to 9 months of fishing thawed water every year. There are several lakes and rivers that produce a variety of species. Our summers are actually very warm and true winter conditions are about 3 months long.
