I spent most of my weekend on the water for the first time this year. Although the fishing wasn’t great I had a great time. The weather was beautiful. The mornings were a bit brisk, but the sun came out and warmed up the air and water. The water temperature varied from 40.2 in the morning to 47 in the afternoon yesterday. I was able to get a few nice small mouth bass and a couple short largemouth. The fish are very sluggish and suspended lures are the only way I was able to get a strike. The key right now was to slow down.
